"EEEEEEEEEEK!" You screamed, jumping on to a chair, your nightgown wrapped tightly around your body. Upon hearing your scream, Zoro busted through your door, swords drawn and looking for intruders.

"(Name)! What's wrong?!" Zoro shouted, looking to you to make sure you weren't hurt.  Your face was red from all the screaming you did, and you had tears threatening to pour out of your eyes. You were genuinely scared, you had just come into close contact with a monster!

"Sp-Sp..." you stuttered, Pointing to the underside of your bed.  Zoro nodded and sliced up your bed into tiny pieces, exposing...a large spider?? A sweat drop appeared on Zoro's face as he stared at the eight-legged creature. You made another high pitched squeal as it began to move toward you.

"Kill it Zoro! Kill it! Kill it! Kill it!" You screamed pointing at the ugly thing. Zoro stood and sheathed his swords one by one, not adhering to your pleas. He gave you a scowled look, but you continued to sniffle and whimper as it inched closer and closer to you, slowly climbing your chair. Not wanting to be on the same chair as this hairy beast from hell, you jumped towards Zoro, making him catch you as you wrapped your arms around his neck tightly.

"Um, (Name)...It's just a spider..." Zoro scoffed eyeing you and the creature that now crawled to where you once stood.

"It's a devil spawn! It's evil! I hate it! Kill it Zoro!" You begged, on the verge of tears. You had a huge fear of spiders, your fear was just about crippling. If there was a spider in your room or even in the near vicinity of you, you would freeze up and curl into a tight ball. If they were small enough you could squish it with a shoe, but the bigger ones scared you the most. If it were up to you, you would take a flame thrower and torch those SOBs to a crisp!

"Are you really that scared of a spider?" He chuckled, finding amusement in your discomfort. You gave him a pouty face, showing him your teary eyes and reddened face. His chuckling stopped, he really hated to see you cry, and being your man, it was his job to keep you safe. From powerful enemies to tiny arachnids, he swore to protect you.

He held you close to his toned chest, and brushed the spider off the chair with his boot, and then crushed it.

"There, it's dead. You're safe now." He soothed, showing you the gooey remains of the creature. He looked down to smile at you, but it wasn't until now that he noticed your semi-revealing night gown and blushed. He put you down and went to reach for your blanket, but then he realized that he shredded your bed when he came in here. Zoro cursed, looking for a coat or something to cover you up.
Finding nothing, he removed his large green coat and placed it around your shoulders, his one functioning eye avoiding your exposed skin.

"Here, you'll catch cold." Zoro lectured, trying to get his blush under control, but you saw his discomfort and wrapped his coat around yourself.

"Thanks," you said, looking at Zoro, pondering something. This man, your man, was so strong and brave. He looked powerful enemies in the eye and didn't flinch, he defeated any foe in his path, without a sliver of fear. Yet, he barged in so quickly when you screamed...was there nothing Zoro feared?

"Zoro?" You asked, grabbing his face with hand, while the other one held the coat on to your small form.

"Yes?" He responded, looking at you, a hint of blush still visible.

"Is there anything you're scared of?" You asked. For awhile, he didn't answer you, he just swopped you back into his arms and carried you to his room, where he cuddled with you and held you close to him.

"I'm scared of losing you, (Name). I fear that, one day, I will not be able to protect you." He confessed, wrapping his arms around your stomach.

"But you did protect me, you defeated that evil spider." You cooed, playing with Zoro's earrings. You felt Zoro laughing slightly, his hot breath resinating on the back of your neck. He kissed your neck and nuzzled the base of your hair line. You giggled at the weird sensation, and soon you forgot all about the terrible spider that terrified you and fell asleep in your green knight's embrace. Knowing that he'd always be there to protect you.
